A look at the life of Las Vegas locals. Las Vegas is a city full of transplants, who moved to the city in search of work in the thriving service industry and to hopefully experience some of the legendary nightlife. In this pod, VC2 producer follows the lives of several locals, who work in the casino and nightlife industry, to catch glimpse of how young people work and play in the city of second chances.

    • I'm currently working on a series of videos focused on the local's side to Vegas, but what Current contracted me to do was to highlight the life of a local who works on the strip. That being said, I agree that the real Vegas should be exposed more in the media instead of the stereotype that is perpetuated in most cases.

    • This pod still shows only the service industry side of vegas and people still dialed into the tourist scene. While vegas is still small outside "the strip", there's still a lot more to it.

    • It's good to see a different point of view about Vegas, I've never been there but I've definitely heard about the lifestyle and the concept of "what happens in vegas stay in vegas." I've honestly never had an inclination to visit but nonetheless good pod.

    • That was a pretty clean version of the locals scene...what I call "LA lite"...and it's all about playing people and using them for connections...there is another dirtier side where people take to heart the saying "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"...that scene is dominated by one night stands gambling and getting hammered....I've lived here 8 years and can say the hardest thing about Vegas is making friends...most people don't make it out here
