Closing Gitmo and bringing the prisoners to US supermax prisons should not pose any threat to Americans because what AMERICA knows best is to keep prisoners in captivity.

Yes, he has claimed to put them into our most secure prisons, but this shows that he really has no clue about how to deal with these SOBs. He's already had to backpedal on it once before, and we'll will never be safe again from terrorist attacks under a wimp like Obama. Now let's hear from one of the KoolAde drinkers about what a wonderful plan this is to release these insurgents onto our shores. Hmmm......the silence is deafening!

Kilted put it the clearest - these f'ers are POW's, and until the hostilities aren't over in Afghanistan - we can't release them - and Gitmo is the best place to hold them. If these leftie nimrods need a legal basis - this is the best one!!! Allies did not release any Nazi soldiers until the end of the war - it's quite clear and justified.
As to your proverbial questions about the left - they really do hate your and my country - the great America. No, I am not beating my chest with phony patriotism - I really do love this country, all it stands for, freedoms it affords, with its strong military, with all the good and all the bad. But the left is strictily idealistic - they Marxist theories are misunderstood and have no place in the real world - yet they don't understand it and refuse to learn from history or even from current situations our friends find themselves in. So under this messiah - we find ourselves marching into a totalitarian socialism - with our constitution trampled by a Kenyan usurper of our presidency... WAKE THE FUCK UP - unless you're braindead!!!

Mr friggin genious. First week in office and he declares that he's closing Gitmo. No plan. No reason other than some far left goonies think we look bad to exemplar models of social justice like Iran, Cuba, Venezuala, and Russia, for extablishing a safe haven to hold terrorist combatants who threaten our safety and are mostly caught in battle. Now no one can come up with a viable solution to our atrocity. The reason there isn't a solution is because that was the best solution. What a dilemma. Transparency is here. It's transparent that Obama can't admit that anyone but he can come up with a good idea (even though we haven't seen a good idea from him yet).

No this isn't about he quran or the Bible. What my comment meant was the inmates at Guantanamo yelled and screamed about one person stepping on their Quran, my comment just meant that they show no respect the the Bible so what are they bitching about. You read too much into the comment, because you wanted to and for no other reason. Think before you rant.

What respect has the US or its soldiers ever shown the Coran?
Are you kidding me?Your 'patriots' have already killed one million+ of their innocent civilians (instead of 'freeing' them!) and you are holding what you call POW's...but it's an illegal war that followed an illegal invasion that was made possible after a bogus 'terrorist' attack.
"The same folks that are bombing innocent people in Iraq are the ones who attacked us on Sept. 11," Bush said.
I think that might have been the only time he said something true!
Indeed, pretty much everything points towards govt involvement in the September 11 attacks: Bush & his mates should be tried at La Hague for crimes against humanity. I'm against the death penalty, even for mass murderers of their kind, but a life in prison contemplating what they have done? Maybe they should even get a bit of Abu Graib style internment just to help them realise a bit what they have done...
Once they're in prison for life, we should go & get the once who put these criminals into office: their sponsors & put them on trial too. - 3 years ago

First, you should show the Qur'an some respect before you advise others to do so by having some insight on the matter of their religion and how is relates to zionism. In Judaism book of the Prophets (what we would call Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Daniel in the Old Testament) and in Christianity's New Testament you would know that there was a prophecy that the Fig Tree (Israel) would bear fruit again. According to Surah 95 The Fig in the Qur'an and how it will live with the Olive (Edom, i.e. Arabs) after the judgement.
To the unfamiliar, this might appear to be a dispute over real estate, but it has been a family feud that has been going on for 4 millenia beginning with Ishmael and Esau against Isaac and Jacob (aka Israel).

I didn't advise to respect the Coran or Qur'an, i pointed out that the US shows no respect at all for the Arabs & their people...although i was mistaken in doing so: you should not confuse respect for Islam and respect for the Arabs or for the inhabitants of Afghanistan or Irak.
I do not believe for a single second in these 'prophecies', just as i do not believe for a single second in any prophetic powers of Muhammad or Jesus or any other so-called 'prophet' of these toxic organised religions who made it bigger than the others (usually because they had a stronger army).
I hope that one day humanity will be freed of all religions: the world would be a much nicer place for everyone. - 3 years ago

Well, the only thing I heard him say is what a great guy he is and how he is going to take care of this mess that is not his fault, nor his administrations fault, but someone else's fault but he will take care of it, because he is great and he...blah blah ..........ad nauseum..
What I don't understand is, aren't these guys POW's? And isn't Guantanamo a place where POW's are being held? Do we send back POW's before the war is over? When is a POW in legal limbo? I don't recall our POW's ever getting legal help. They take care of POW's in Iraq, al qaeda just kills them. But they don't torture. Do we pick and choose which ones are a national security risk and send the rest home? If they are not enemy combatants any more, what are they? I haven't heard anyone use that term for the detainees. POW's Maybe we should ask the detainees because it seems like they are running the show, they are the ones who claimed torture, they claimed they were mistreated and our wonderful media jumped on that story like stink on you know what. Why is anyone listening to the detainees? Since when does a prisoner control the prison and the prison's media? Bleeding heart media and liberals jumped on this story to discredit the past administration and the United States. When have we seen so much energy spent on discrediting a past administration and the military? I just heard from some idiot about how 911 was a set up by Bush so he could justify Iraq. Can you believe that? Yeah that is you noxidereus, because you are a nut case of a different sort. How can anyone be so stupid and how can anyone want to discredit Americans over some detainees who were captured shooting at our troops or laying IED'sfor the purpose of killing our sons and daughters and then our media gives them top billing. Don't take the word of our troops, no they probably lie, the detainees on the other hand don't lie. Amazing how anyone can think that way, must have an agenda. The POW's complained about someone stepping on the quran. Oh my Gawd, what will we ever do. What do you think they do to the Bible?
Why are there so many people so willing to discredit our country and our troops? What has gone wrong with this country and some of it's people? What do they want, total destruction of the United States? You would think not since they live here too. It isn't moral high ground, because a moral person would not try to discredit their own country for some POW. And neither would a moral person choose to ignore our fallen men and women in Germany so as to avoid hurting the German's feelings. Wow, it boggles my mind.

"We do not want these terrorists in our courts or in our jails"
[If you don't want them in court you have no right to jail them so how can you criticize getting them out of Guantanmo, where they were held abusively?]
Sorry but you're a very ignorant person. It's not completely your fault, you've been told they were terrorists and it has been repeated to you since 2001.
But:
- the Talibans were financed by your money & your govt, created from A to Z with the help of the ISI, the Pakistani secret service. Your CIA paid and they created crazy fanatics to combat the Russians in Afghanistan.
Incidentally, your govt multiplied the culture of opium by 10 in 10 years (UN figures) when it of course claimed it was stopping it. That's right, your filthy war was financed with Heroin. Lorries arrived loaded with weapons & went back the other way loaded with opium, only to be 'refined' in neighbouring countries. The CIA would then assist with the selling as they 'assisted' with the weapon supplies.
So these nasty so-called terrorists, if they are terrorists at all in there, are the direct result of your own govt.
Do you know that, on the advice of a French General, Reagan started sprinkling heroin over the Russian troops in Afghanistan? The terrorists & drug dealers, my friend, are your govt & the people who finance govt after govt: the private bankers of the US Federal Reserve.
- 9/11 is why these ppl are qualified as terrorists. Yet at best a few real terrorists were manipulated & unknowingly assisted by the Bush administration...and at worst the Bush administration is totally responsible for the whole thing.
That's pretty much proven, i think. Denied, maybe, but fairly obvious for anyone not too patridiotic & gullible.- The 19 supposed terrorists in the planes were immediately identified through DNA right after the tours went down. Yet the rubble was so fine that the smallest pieced of anything was tiny & certainly no complete bodies were found. Anyway, that would suppose that the authorities already had the DNA so they could compare them, and that is not only ludicrous it just wasn't the case.
Add to that that many of these 'terrorists' are still alive and working and have come out to officially say so, and you'd really have to be in a very irrational mood to give any credit to the list of 'hijackers' at all.- Bush put them there, without a trial, and Bush is a known liar. His administration lied over 935 ON THE RECORD about the weapons of mass destruction, which is the same thread as the terrorists & 9/11 and has been clearly disproven. The man cannot be trusted about anything, he has proven that himself.
To believe his lies is to believe these men are terrorists. The true terrorists are the Bush administration, who terrorised the people with what was for anyone who dares to look at the facts a FALSE FLAG OPERATION or an inside job, if you prefer.
Here are a few sites that will help you retrieve yourself from your ignorance, hopefully.
All the best,
RickDThe true patriots are here. You seem to me like you're collaborating with the ennemies of America through your gullibility and ignorance.

His defensive posturing demonstrates his frustration when he is not given the automatic/autocratic pass of his executive orders. It would make sense for President Obama to make executive orders after he has thought it through. Impulse decisions render him in situations at which he now finds himself.

He sounds like he thinks he is a king, a dictator - not a servant chosen by the people!!! How many of you Obama voters out there already regret voting for him? Quadrupled the deficit, bypassing congress on his Ececutive orders that have nothing to do with national secutity (the 40mpg Obamacar), taking over banking, insurance, auto industries, reversing US foreign policy by kissing up to our enemies (who pretty much told him to go fuck himself) - and looking like a total moron doing it. This learn on the job shit is just not working. He is weakining this country, bankrupting it, turning us into a repeatdly failed socialist state with dictatorial powers of the leadership, appointing czars and bypassing the checks and balances of Congressional approval, expanding the government control, reach and size at the expense of our future generations!!! Forget about your messiah Obama for a second. We do not want these terrorists in our courts or in our jails - they'd only be inciting the already disillussioned inmates there - converting them to their evil ways. Congress recognizes this, and most people do as well. Obama is pandering to the extreme left by continuing to push this issue. He broke enough campaign promisses already - why not just leave this one alone. Best thing would be to send them back to Afghanistan and give them over to their law enforcement - but they are not wanted there. If we did that, they would pray for the heaven it is to live in Guantanamo, compared to what could await them in Afghani jail system. Bush had in fact released the less dangerous of the bunch - and 40% of those released took up arms for Taliban and Al Queda again - most have been killed since. So if the remaining bunch are more hard-core - then 80% or more would take up arms against us - so let's not bring them here - else your messiah would be endangering this country and our national security. As for our enemies becoming our friends - dude, wake the fuck up. Unless you are ready to start praying to Allah, it ain't happening!!! What is wrong with the naive liberal ilk - which part of Islamofascist hatred don't they get?

If you dont want to deal with these terrorists so bad, then let them run loose in the world, pull all your troops out of every country, then sit and wait for it all to get better. actually i think that bit about getting your troops out of every country might actually help. but since you guys believe you are fighting terrorists, what should be the responsible way of dealing with them? should they not go through some sort of judicial system? does the U.S. not have enough maximum prisons to lock them up in? why are americans such cowards when it comes to holding a couple of disarmed, tortured and violated 'terrorists' on their own lands. If obama had not brought up closing gitmo, then i guess u would be completley fine with that, wouldnt you? ur cute, or at least ur trying to be..

Khalid - what a fine Arabic name. Cute? Not in the least bit. I don't just listen to Fox - I also read the news in 3 languages - to get a wider perspective. If your wahhabi friends would not be hell=bent on creating a world-wide caliphate or if they would at least stay in their own countries - wherever there's sharia law - to keep'em happy - we wouldn't have our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. But you had to blow up the WTC and Pentagon, you had to explode the Marine barracks in SA, embassies in Africa, Cole in the gulf, etc. You live in America - and practice Islam freely - but our infidels are not welcome in your lands - kell them all, cut their heads off and parade the footage on the world TV. Well, your buddies are terrorists - not freedom fighters, your religion is full of hatred, intolerance and poison and the best place for the inmates (the poor and abused ones - or the well fed, taken care of, medically provided, etc) - is 6 feet under.
See the difference between the liberals and me (and most of America) is that we're onto your game. You turn the cards around, make yourself look like a victim, while you plot to kill us. Game's up, Khalid, Mohammed and Saed - or whatever your friends names are. Even the dem congress voted against bringing these jihaddis here - so the Guantanamo is probably the best place for them - aside from the Afphani jails - where they will rot - as they deserve!!! - 3 years ago

"Why do taxpayers have to continue to burden the cost of these people?"
Gee, how irrelevant is that...come on.
It's hardly the issue here, is it. You sound like you're blaming them, jesus these people are probably not even real terrorists, after all the whole 9/11 thing was a scam, the real terrorists were at the White House for God's sake, isn't that kinda obvious by now?And if you're so worried about paying tax, well don't. The IRS is illegal and unconstitutional, there is no law to say that you have to pay income tax.
No need to thank me for the info. ;-)

Like any Obama speech...it's enough to motivate and make you feel like nothing but good lies ahead; but where's the details? What does he plan to do with these people? Put them through the US court system and then into US prisons? Why do taxpayers have to continue to burden the cost of these people?
He also fails to mention that a majority of the detainees were released during the Bush years. And what happened to the "not blaming anyone, only focused on the future" lines he's repeated over and over?

I must be ignorant but how does it cost money to stop running a facility?
And why does all the attention get focused on Guantanamo? There are loads of other prisons elsewhere, in Eastern Europe, for example, but basically anywhere the US Army is occupying, which is virtually everywhere. By occupying i mean has a base. You may think that the US does not occupy these countries but its influence is massive. Having a base in a country is like a permanent warning to shut the f*ck up & do as you are told.

Would you care to explain this statement through a bit of reasoning?
Obama will do the same as Bush, pretty much, because he is working for the same people: those who financed both of them.
And there are illegal secret prisons all over the world anyway.
If you know anything about terrorism you'll know that the 'terrorists' the US are supposedly fighting were created by the US with your money via the ISI, the Pakistani secret service: the Talibans were created from A to Z.
The true terrorists are created by US arrogance & despotism: CIA implementation of dictators all over the world, hundreds of thousands killed just to preserve a banana company, millions killed to get a pipeline & oil wells, whole cities massacred to remove a drug-dealing dictator who had been put there by the CIA in the first place (Panama / General Noriega: put there by Bush Senior)...any hatred against the US is stupid, it should be against its true leaders, the elite bankers, and also its official leaders, but it's still mostly US-generated. - 3 years ago
