Walter Cronkite: 1916-2009

Walter Cronkite, iconic American journalist, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at 92. Cronkite was the legendary anchor of the CBS Evening News from 1962 to 1981. In his career in the anchor chair he famously reported on such news as the Apollo 11 moon landing and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
