I LOVE my Diva Cup. I wont ever go back to commercial disposable products. Best thing I ever did for my body, my wallet and (as a side effect for me) my carbon footprint.

Crude? *gasp* God forbid us ladies discuss our bodily functions in public. Periods affect most women on average every 28 days, why on earth is it crude to discuss it, if anything women should learn to be more open about these things, I find it ridiculous we are expected to act as if it doesn't happen. Most children in the UK are taught basic reproductive functions from at least age ten we should be able to promote better ways of dealing with what is a functional and essential bodily process.
I think the film was fantastic. I've been curious about the mooncup for some time and I'm now inspired to try it. From what I have seen they are not only wonderful for the environment but also decrease the risk of things like toxic shock syndrome. As for the ick factor I really don't think it seems much worse than dealing with tampons and pads and although there seems to be a bit of a knack for using the cup I remember it took myself and most of my friends some time to adjust to tampons and sex too but we all learned to deal.
Viva la cup, I hope they still sell them in Boots.
P.s. It used to be crude for us to discuss or allude to sex too, don't see anyone complaining about that one much given the amount of overly sexual content I see on pretty much every medium of communication and entertainment.

Awesome film! Have to say I didn't find this crude at all - far from it. :)

...throughout watching this pod, i couldnt help but wonder why someone would actually take the time to talk about something like this. i dont know, maybe my gender applies to my lack of interest in the menstrual cycle, but i found this slightly more crude than it needed to be. but once again, thats just me. haha

I think I would try that. It seems interesting, and eco-friendly.
