    • I really respect animators... it's such a lovely, tedious art and I am fascinated by all different aspects of it. When I attend film festivals, I specifically scout out the animated shorts.

Don Hertzfeldt is just a genius, in my opinion. Who else could draw glorified stick figures and pull it off so perfectly? "Billy's Balloon," "Rejected," "Lily and Jim," "The Meaning of Life"... all are fantastic. I've met him twice at his film premieres and I always end up crying because I'm laughing so hard.

I also love films showcased in The Animation Show series created by Hertzfeldt and Mike Judge. Films like "Das Rad" and "Fifty Percent Grey" are fantastic. And anything Bill Plympton contributes is hilarious.

Tomek Baginski's work is also quite favorable. "The Cathedral" and "Fallen Art" are not to be missed.

"Jojo in the Stars," is one of my favorite animated works of all time. Youtube quality doesn't cut it... the film-like appearance of this computer animation is lost in the compression. See it in a theatre, or track down the DVD like I did.

    • I don't watch current tv or their videos, but the best cartoons of all time in my opinion are bugs bunny, and squidbillies. (aquateen hunger force and sealab too)
