Sesame Street Celebrates 40th Anniversary

The hit children's show 'Sesame Street' celebrates its 40th birthday today. The show started in 1969 and has not stopped since. Production for the 41st season has already started.

    • I was 4 years old when the 1st episode aired and I remember my mother telling me that we had to go out. I was staring at the TV and I said, "No, there is a big yellow bird on TV." I made her wait until it was over.

      I credit much of my love of learning to Sesame Street. It is an amazing show.
