Getting High on Jesus

Saigonick
John Crowder claims he met Jesus while on an acid trip and now travels the world getting people quite literally high on God. He and his disciples 'drink', 'inject' and 'smoke' Jesus and spend much of their time seemingly wasted and posting bizarre sermon videos on YouTube. This half hour documentary follows John and fellow preacher Ben Dunn as they come to the UK to hold a massive rave for the UK members of the 'Christian Mystic' movement. Attending the gathering are some self-proclaimed atheist party animals who want to see whether they can get high on Jesus and two curious theology students...

    • That was fascinating. It's a new take on the whole 'finding God' thing that tries to link it to actual subjective experiences (getting high) unlike many religions. Very interesting. Makes it a lot more meaningful to many people's lives I suppose to believe in something that they can feel instead of just an abstract idea that people get lectured about in church. Hmmm.

    • religion was never about reality to begin with. He's just being honest about it.
The only thing is, it's hard to paint it as normal.

I love acid and its abilities to expand consciousness, I too just want to be happy and don’t believe in being sad...same philosophy, but I don't roll around on the floor pretending to high on what I’m meant to be worshiping, I just see pretty colours and think about society and its holes. Many preachers in the 60's claim to witness god while on acid...addictions have been cured using psychoactive drugs...people go into a deep trance and think "why I am drinking...or shooting up etc" and never do it again...I find it amazing how its socially acceptable to take psychedelic drugs [dmt/ayahuasca] as a ceremony to experience spiritual enlightenment...Americans are notoriously over the top...so go and get high on the joint of Christ...and pretend to wacked out while your adrenaline goes crazy giving you a rush [meeting god] or do it by taking DMT! Either way, I’m happy just being me with no god or higher being...while on an acid trip I realized what people mean by searching for "god" or a higher being, and I found it...it was me, my inner body! My aura!
