Dear President Obama, I am moving to mexico...
We can't stand it anymore, so we're moving on if President Obama can pull some strings for us. Hope they have some nice golf courses in Mexico.
Dear Mr. President:
I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me. We're planning to simply walk across
the border from the U.S. Into Mexico, and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements.
We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration
quotas and laws.
I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Calderon, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need,
whether I use them or not.
3. Please print all Mexican government forms in English.
4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking
(bilingual) teachers.
5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture
and history.
6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag
poles at their school.
7. Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for both breakfast and
lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy
access to government services.
9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but, I don't plan to purchase
car insurance, and I probably won't make any special effort to learn local
traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo
from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every
patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. Flag from my house top, put U S. Flag
decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I d o
not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or
have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be
extremely nice and never say a critical things about me or my family,
or about the strain we might place on their economy.
14. I want to receive free food stamps.
15. Naturally, I'll expect free rent subsidies.
16. I'll need Income tax credits so although I don't pay Mexican
Taxes, I'll receive money from the government.
17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Gov't pays $ 4,500 to help
me buy a new car.
18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican
Social Security program so that I'll get a monthly income in retirement.
I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for
all his people who come to the U.S. From Mexico. I am sure that President Calderon won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.
Thank you so much for your kind help. You're the man!!!

Are you honestly saying no other immigrants were trying to escape famine and war? What about all the Irish trying to escape war and the potato famine? What about all the immigrants that came over from Europe during WWII? All of these people came over legally. So as far as escaping wars and famine the illegal immigrants from mexico still have no excuse.
Obviously I have no wish to move to mexico, I posted this for the sole purpose of exposing how ridiculous it is how our government gives aid to people that are breaking the law. Because that is what is happening, you can sugar coat it however you want, these people are breaking a law. It just doesn't make sense that these people can break a law and then have all these things handed to them that I have to work my ass off for every day. Also something you should keep in mind is that all these things that the government is giving to these people is being payed for by us.
Our country is in a state of economic crisis and instead of helping its citizens who are homeless, jobless and on the street they are taking our tax money and giving it to people who shouldn't be here in the first place.
Think about if they had broken a different law. Lets say they were caught selling drugs. (I"m not saying the two are comparable i"m only saying that both are against the law) So this guy is caught selling drugs and instead of sending him to jail the court decides to supply him with land in which he can grow poppys and a lab that he can prosses the poppy into heroine. It sounds rediculous I know but lets look at what these immigrant are doing. They are breaking a law by coming here, living here and most importantly taking advantage of social services set up for (and funded by) US citizens. So instead of kicking these ILLEGAL (its even in the name) immigrants out of the country we are actually supporting them and encouraging them to continue to live here illegally. It just doesn't make sense to me. Everyone else gets punished for breaking the law while they get rewarded? can you honestly tell me that thats reasonable?

Seriously? Some of these points that include the presence of hispanic culture in America aren't right. America is a whole different animal and you're living in this country not recognizing that. The United States it's not like most of the other countries around where only one nationality lives there - it's composed almost completely of people who move here from other countries. A lot of people speak a different language here, at home, whether it is Russian, Indian or Spanish. In another country, like Mexico, or France, or China, or idk Mongolia that would just be very weird. You have to accept the fact that America is like that. And it shares a continent, a landmass (Canada doesn't evne count becuase they're closed off, and very similar to America anyway), with primarily Spanish speaking countries - or, like, Brazil. The fact that Spanish ends up being a popular language is not completely Mexico's fault - and you're living in a country that just started 200 years ago with people from all over the world and still coming here. Accept that.

You're absolutely correct in saying that we are a country made of many cultures, but when the Italians came over they didn't expect everything to be in italian, they learned english. They didn't come here illegally they came over the same way every other immigrant came over. Why does mexico think thats its so special that it is the one country that doesn't have to go through the immigration process just like my great grandmother did when she came from italy? And my great grandmother also did not expect the whole country to bend over backwards for her. she came into the country in a legal way, got a job, payed taxes and learned english just like the millions of other immigrants what makes mexico so special?
