Russia Scoffs at NATO's Warning

Image

"Russia has dismissed a warning by Nato that normal relations are impossible while its troops remain inside Georgia.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Nato of bias and of trying to save the "criminal regime" in Tbilisi.

He insisted Moscow was not occupying Georgia and had no plans to annex the separatist region of South Ossetia."

    • i think russia would like south ossetia to become an independent nation. most people see the problem as russia doing wrong but south ossetia essentially said that they didn't want to be under georgian rule. russias just doing what the french did for america in the american revolution. the real problem is that negotiations really arent taking place, just the violence. russia needs to chill out and south ossetia and georgia need to work out a plan for some sort of gradual independence (maybe become a georgian territory).
