Straight from the chaos in Denver, The Daily Fix catches up with Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie outside the Big Tent, an unofficial bloggers haven at the DNC. We take a peek at the nearly 500 bloggers typing furiously inside, huddled at computers and fueled on caffeine. We get Chris' opinion on this new blogging phenomenon and how, or if, he feels it will impact the vote on this election. Plus, will this combo of bloggers and a handful of musicians boost the Obama campaign and bring more people to the polls this year? What do you think?

The Daily Fix is the first music blog on TV airing on Current TV. The 2-minute daily music news show delivers cutting edge music news and insightful opinion in compelling short doses, utilizing MP3's and user-generated video from all over the web. Hosted by Douglas Caballero, the show airs daily at 9:31am, 1:31pm, 5:31pm, 8:31pm, 12:31am, 4:31am Eastern Time and can be found online at current.com/dailyfix.

    • I love this group.
He talks like his motivation is just to get people to go vote. Well..
I truly wish that Bands, Stars, etc. should not support only one party. They should go to both or none if their goal is to help the process of a successful election.

If they just want people to vote they would truly do that.

Leave it to the people to pick who they want based on the candidates. But do encourage people to get their butts to the polls!

    • Lucky me I am in Denver everyday. The whole DNC was quite interesting.. weird when you are walking on the streets and everything is packed, lots of cops and celebs. I have been around most of these places shown on tv.

    • If I would have known that there was going to be free massages and smoothies at this Big Tent, I would have been there too! Plus, Chris Walla is walking around...that's so awesome!

It's so great that the DNC is encouraging bloggers to participate. It allows for us to get the details of the convention from the perspective of so many people, and relays the actual experience much better than any news story. Lucky Daily Fix guys...wish I was there!
