Succession from the USA isn't pointless if you consider that our Federal Government doesn't even recognize it's own laws or constitution anymore.

The South outside of Florida is probably more of a liability than an asset, otherwise any succession from the USA is pretty pointless. Texas could be worth keeping if it has enough oil left...

We're not talking about what the US wants here, we're talking about what the secessionists want.

Take a look around man. America as it's known right now is slowly crumbling. Soon enough, people are going to realize that maybe it's a good idea to leave the sinking ship. Could one year from now, could be ten, could be twenty, I dunno. Just wait and see(cede).

Agreed. The Direct Democracy can vote for Anarchism. :)
Yes, smaller governments held in a loose confederation which unites in times of crisis. - 4 years ago

America would work better, actually, as perhaps several different nations. To say that it would cause war would be a bit...odd. War comes naturally for humans, a violent species, and even as one nation violence is all over the place.

Yes, it's as the American Empire that has caused so much war. Several small states would cause the governments to behave better, because people could move to better places to live.

Yes, Texas has also been an independent republic before being annexed by the United States in the 19th century.
