From Article:
The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.
Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.
It is not the first time an active-duty unit has been tapped to help at home. In August 2005, for example, when Hurricane Katrina unleashed hell in Mississippi and Louisiana, several active-duty units were pulled from various posts and mobilized to those areas.
But this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.
After 1st BCT finishes its dwell-time mission, expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one.

I disagree with the gun idea... It might have been saig jokingly but... I won't play by their rules. I'm anti violence no matter what. Stick to your morals.
Who cares if they want to play Army-man here, they do it everywhere else... they're just stupid kids with guns. Fuck em.

It will not surprise me in the least if tomorrow GWB came on TV and told us all that because of our economic "emergency" (or whatever reason he want's to insert) that he's declaring a state of martial law and, sorry folks, but now is not the time to hold an election. I'm just gonna have to hold down the fort until we get things under control.
And now we have McCain not campaigining... retreating. Why? Well...why bother spending all that money if he doesn't have a shot at the presidency at the moment because elections won't be held for a while. Is he giving us a heads up? A clue as to what will come next?
Could just be me being paranoid, but I don't know...

I have a friend in the service, he's out now, but he served in Iraq.
He informed me that over the past six years, Haliburton subsidiary KBR has built concentration camp, or rather, detention center areas in the centers of every major US military base in the USA.
I hope the two aren't related.
He pointed out that the only reason that they would be creating this new division as an active combat unit on US soil, is that something is going to happen that could trigger widespread rioting.

There are over 3,000 of these camps......... all empty. Our first dose of the MSM covering them was During the DNC they disclosed they had one of them in denver for "protestors". They did never use it, but in hindsight it was a scare tactic to stop people from going there.

This is yet another fact on a long list of things that proves this government is working against it's people. GWB only cares about him and his.
I would bet that those in the deployed combat team don't feel great about this. How hard it must be for them to deal with having to carry out these orders. Nothing good can come of it.

its funny how a positive spin is put on all this. these troops are here to help americans on american soil. did we ask for help? no. do we need protection? um, police anywhere feel a little slighted? come in under false pretenses and lay the hammer down. just like iraq. i can not believe this is happening. yes, i know, it is. i really have come to love this country and many people in it. and i am not too proud to say that the thought of what is being done to our country brings tears to my eyes. this is the first time i have cried in months.

It's important to keep this in perspective, especially with such a sensational headline.
It's not martial law, it's one brigade. Luckily, there's a big difference between a whole country and one small area.

It is a violation of Posse Comitatus, however.
And the Federal Military IS being used to enforce domestic law.

This is just fuckin' scary! More scary than WMD's, terrorists, bombings is the BUSHIT we've endured for almost 8 years. He wants to be king! If martial law is declared after this financial crisis I it will be abundantly clear that a revolt is due! Arm yourselves darlings...the shit is about to hit the fan!
