Eating Their Own

First I must say; Former Secretary of State Colin Powell is one class act.
I have always admired him as an outstanding American and political leader. When he finally sided with Bush on the Iraq war I was greatly disappointed. His shine and luster for me took a nose dive. As time passed, it seemed he became aware of how he had been duped. George Bush, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and the rest of their Gestapo cronies were literally causing a form of metastasizing of the Constitution and our great nation. At that point he decided to step down as his integrity finally got the best of him. I hated to see him go; however, I felt extreme admiration for Colin when he could no longer align or associate himself with the Bush Regime.

As many of you probably know by now, Colin Powell has finally decided to endorse Barack Obama. The following link is of his endorsement and his reasoning as to why he chose him.

He has taken a fair length of time to do his vetting on both candidates. In spite of his lengthy, 20+ year friendship and association with John McCain, Colin Powell has opted to side with Barack Obama and endorse him to be the most promising candidate for President of the United States. This literally speaks volumes and as a nation the choice should now be clear. Colin Powell has a tremendous list of credentials backing him with regards to his service for the United States.     • Seriously, who listens to him? What is his REAL number of listeners? I personally have never once heard his radio show, or know of anything good to ever come of it.

    • Pumpkin pie for everyone! This is about the racism and the ugliness that it is made of. Fox news and especially Rush Limbaugh are literally falling down drunk with it. The thoughts of an African American becoming president is more than their poor souls can tolerate. I believe this is the fuel of the attacks. Lets eat.

    • Good idea, lets do away with freedom of speech, then I wouldn't have to listen to jackasses spouting off about others saying what they believe. A lot of folks died so both stupid sides could say what they want. I am beginning to see why I don't want the Obama fans in power.

      maybe you don't understand the difference between freedom of speech and speech intended to incite or even downright fabrication.
      i didn't say limbaugh couldn't talk, i prefer not to listen to his lopsided logic.
      and you don't have to listen or read for that matter.

      Wow, that's a leap - who said anything about denial of the right to speak freely? We all support the first ammendment here; encouraging people to ignore a pundit is far from demanding a repeal of a fundamental part of the Constitution.
      Relax, everyone can have their say here. Everyone also has the right to tear down whatever you say - that's the beauty of free speech ^_^

    • I find this very curious. Did Powell know of his place by Obama's side in the white house BEFORE or AFTER he decided to throw in his support? Ya gotta ask these questions.
