In 2004, the MYVOTE1 Voter Alert Line was sponsored by NBC News and MSNBC, The Common Cause Education Fund, The Fels Institute of Government at The University of Pennsylvania, The Reform Institute and The Hispanic Voter Project at Johns Hopkins University and The National Constitution Center. The MYVOTE1 system received nearly half a million voter phone calls/complaints that were coded by problem type, rate and geographic location.
In June 2005, Ken Smukler testified at the Carter-Baker Commission on Federal Election Reform on the issues of election administration, voter access and voter technologies based on the data collected on Election Day 2004.
In 2006, InfoVoter once again partnered with MSNBC monitoring Election Day activity across the country, while headquartered at the MSNBC studios in Washington DC. The MYVOTE1 system has been in continuous operation since its 2004 launch. It is our hope to continue providing the voting public this necessary service in the years to come.
InfoVoter Technologies has partnered with The League of Women Voters and provides the national poll location database that powers the LWV's Vote411.org Election Information System.

What I'd much rather know, more than whether or not people are being talked out of voting, is what happens to my vote after I turn it in? How can I know for sure that my vote has counted, and not been torn up by some technicality after its been cast? How can I be sure that what I've sent in is really counting, and making a difference?
I live in a state that is purely vote-by-mail, and after emailing my county elections board, I learned that they are all optically scanned, then set aside to be counted by hand should a recount be needed for any reason. Problem is, if my vote is rendered invalid, would someone even tell me? How can I be sure that my voice is heard? - 4 years ago
