On MSNBC's Meet the Press with Tom Brokaw, John McCain has trouble remembering his own endorsements. With less than 10 days to go, this is not exactly the best way to instill confidence in his mental capacity, which has already seriously been called into question after his selection of Sarah Palin as VP.

I thought the same thing but my father (likely quite a bit older than you if you're still working) explained the difference between how he believes his and his peers' brain's function now versus a decade ago - or even half that. The clip shown could be summed up to being tired (campaigning is clearly not for sissies) or plain absentmindedness we all suffer from time to time, but giving you the 75 year old perspective. I'm obviously biased but most who meet him are impressed with my Dad (he's an intelligent guy) and he says flat out, no apologies, no debating with those under 70 - McCain is TOO OLD to be prez.

McCain fails to mention that James Baker (Bush Family "playa") is 78 years old, Henry Kissinger is 85(and by some accounts is a war criminal), Alexander Haig(who twice in 2006 sat for meetings with the Bush administration) is 84 and George Shultz(once an advisor for George W. Bush's 2000 presidential campaign) is 88!
Heck Baker served as George H.W. Bush's campaign manager back in 1980! Haig was Kissinger's military assistant- Army Vice Chief of Staff during Vietnam until when President Nixon promoted Haig to Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs.
So of course they would endorse McCain- They KNOW he's just like Bush!

I felt a twinge of sympathy...this is the chief reason (among many) that my very sharp, healthy, athletic former exec 75 year old father will vote for Obama. My Dad says that he was, at 72, (along with every single other 72 year old he knows ~ many) are too old to enter the highest, most powerful office in the world. So is McCain. My Dad is a smart guy who speaks from direct experience in this assessment - a perspective few of us share.

I'm not a big McCain fan, but I don't think this clip
is so bad. Taking an extra 15 seconds to remember something isn't the worst thing in the world. - 3 years ago

America is in serious trouble economically. John McCain and Sarah Palin are divisive. It will take all Americans to get back on course, not Democrat, or Republican, but American! We need a leader who leads by example. John McCain and Sarah Palin have set bad examples in their campaign. They incite anger against Barack Obama. That is not necessary! I dont want anger, I want hope, hope for a better day. We are better than that!

The whole thing was really hard to watch. No one wants to pet an angry growling dog and he's definitely cornered and acting like someone's beaten him with a stick.

If you were 73 and had been brain washed and married to a pill popper and had you eyes for your running mate your mind could wonder too. LOL What I want to know is what happen to all of that Keating scam he helped pull off that and the Keating 5 and all the money, maybe old John stuffed into one of his 7 houses closets and just forgot where. Then It just goes to show ya, McCain with all his money, his wife’s riches, and her family wealth they took the Government money as not to spend any of there own funds. Now McCain is crying that Obama is out spending him. Obama funds come from American people like me, Never in my life-time had I ever given a dime to any political party. After one of Obama's speeches I got online and made a donation. I just believe this man can help America now and into the future, 4 more years, 4 more years, 4 more years I know its a bit early, We gave the republicans 8 years and look at the Country now.

With states like Arizona swinging in Obama's direction, it's not hard to imagine that McCain has much on his mind right now. He's never been one to lose gracefully.

Well it's been pretty obvious throughout the campaign that McCain has steadily losing his mind.
