Weakened our country's military enough to be attacked in 2001 after he got out of office. Then he weakened us financially in the home market such that we are now suffering the current recession/depression. We were in a recession when he left office. Gas prices were going up.

With us having such a liberal democratic majority congress now... yes we need to worry about America ... but it's not because of Bush. Socialism is something to worry about and socialism is on the liberal agenda.

The checks and balances have been eroded away to there last thread and the bush administration is continuing to work feverishly on passing amendments that cover the acts done during their administrative time in power and they are trying to do so before the end of their term. I think it is important to keep in mind that a president can be impeached even after his period in office and while most people see efforts to do so as a waste (being that he is no longer in a position to make decisions, so why worry) the truth of the matter is that it is necessary to set a precedent that it is not ok to overtly abuse the power of the presidency as well as restraining the reallocation of power the bush administration has delegated to other areas that now lie outside of governmental oversight.

I met and spoke with Josh Wolf at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He was there with the Prometheus Radio project giving a presentation hosted by Democracy Matters.

It's ridiculous what happened to him. He strikes me as being kind of a snotty punk anarchist kid-- which he is. But he's still right about what he has to say on the matters of his being detained for journalism. His case was a landmark decision for 1st amendment rights.
