it frightens me to think about an alternate history, but it makes me think of the other countries too. Didn't Japanese forces get weaker after Germany got weaker? and what would happen to Mussolini in the alternate ending? Africa would probably still be imperialised later on. I haven't learned much about the Middle East during wwii though, so I'm stuck on that one

Hogwash. Had the Normandy invasion failed, the USSR would need an extra year or so to finish beating Germany.

How is this totally different than the Europe that exists now? They are all together just like here. I guess the only difference would be the fact that it's not Nazis and that the Jews (and others) still exist.
I wonder what would have happened with the Middle East if this were to be true.....

I prefer fiction that has the Nazis either having a marginal defeat, rather than a complete defeat, or a marginal victory, rather than a complete one.
"The Ultimate Solution" just freaked the hell out of me reading the Wikipedia article.
I love alternate history.

There's also a Philip Dick novel, 'The Man in the High Castle', on the same subject. It won a Hugo award. Good read.

There was an episode of Enterprise with Scott Bakula that dealt with that issue of Nazi Germany controlling America. They even had the Nazi flag flying over the White House with a huge red banner draped over the entrance.

Actually this is all from Fatherhood, Joseph Kennedy was president in that book too.
I think the video is taken from the HBO movie that they made.

Has anyone read or seen Fatherhood? Its a novel and a movie based on the same premise. There's another good fake documentary, the confederate states of America that suppose the South won the civi war
