Very sobering story. I am astonished it took this long for the fact he had a half-brother to float to the top of the media pool that is my daily swim. A year or more of campaigning and I never heard a word of it, but that's not important I suppose. Not as important as the questions it raises. Will Barack intervene to help his brother, especially now when the press has made such a big deal about his relationship with his Kenyan roots? And how will this affect his opinion on the concept of possession laws and how enforcing Draconian policies can cause such overbalanced suffering? Kenya has the right to enforce its own laws, obviously, and if George Obama broke them he's subject to their punishments, but it draws a parallel to possession laws in the US, "three strike" laws, etc. and what his Administration is going to do regarding the acceptance of cannabis and hemp in the USA. His is the perfect presidency to finally acknowledge the medical, social, economical and practical uses for cannabis & hemp and what perfect opportunity to address it while you're addressing the topic of your poor half-brother's arrest for possessing leaves & flowers of a PLANT.
