Four Portland legislators joined a Springfield senator to introduce Oregon House Bill 2461, which would impose a $49.61 tax on each barrel of beer produced by Oregon brewers. '
Why in this climate would you want to try to run business out of the state? Especially with one of the highest unemployment rates in the country? if you want to raise money for treatment programs then raise the fines on DUI/DWI offenses and public intoxication and drunk and disorderly citations.

I read the story at the link. It did not say whether or not they were R's or D's but I could guess they were democrats. Why would ANYONE raise taxes on business's that give people jobs, food, homes in these economic times. I couldn't tell you. But ask nancy, harry or barry they should be able to answer it for you.

I am not sure why they seem to be doing what they are, so far I have written my state representatives and have not gotten a response. We will see what happens I guess.
