Arlington West Memorial, as a mock cemetery, has been erected by Veterans for Peace every Sunday at the Santa Monica and Santa Barbara Beach for the past 5 years.
It is a place to honor the more than 4900 American Soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the more than 1 million Iraqis Civilians death.
It is also a place to encourage dialogue and refexion on the cost and consequences of American militarism.
