We Actually Voted for These Yo-Yo's ?

This year's version debuted Thursday. Curtain closing to be determined.
If there's a better way for Congress to do its most important job _ pass the federal budget _ it's eluded policymakers.
Trouble is, senators sometimes had no idea which amendment they were considering, what it would do or when they were voting on it.
"If we had a vote on my amendment, I missed it," Sen. Bob Bennett, R-Utah, said at another point. "Was there a vote?" Conrad said Bennett's amendment had passed unanimously, without a roll call vote.
Fresh from chastising his colleagues for proposing amendments that had no hope of passing and preventing the Senate from progressing through the list, Conrad got back to business and called up several new amendments.
"Oh, we've done this one?" he said to an aide, who nodded. "Well this is good! We are progressing."
Through what, though?

We voted for these clowns, so now the Senate circus performance begins.

We need to call, write letters, and let them know we are aware and watching. Its our duty and responsibility as voters and citizens.
On the whole they are doing better than they did the last 8 years, but that is a very low bar to cross. - 3 years ago

Titvol, most of them did not read the Patriot Act in the last 8 years. Most of them supported the medicare bill that Billy "the crook" Tauzin R of Louisiana pushed through for big pharma at taxpayer expense. And Billy went to work for Big Pharma after.
They let Halliburton steal billions and did not investigate. They voted for every single thing numb nuts wanted regardless of what it cost.
They allowed the war to be off budget and we are not seeing some of the results of borrow and spend and give tax cuts to billionairs during war. And no bid contracts.
So considering the last 8, they are still doing better now. That does not mean they are doing as well as they should, and that means we should hold their feet to the fire. Write and call your legislatures.

Robroy1, one of these days you will be begging for the Bush years to return. Those 8 years will be a walk in the park compared to what Obama is going to do to this nation. I sincerely hope I am wrong, but since when is it OK for a President to run GM? Why oh why did he go on Leno? Is he a celeb or a president? What next? Medicine, possibly, gun control, more likely. Sticking sand up everyone's butts, without a doubt.
If you aren't afraid of what Obama is doing then you live in an alternate universe to this one. Obama and his Sec of State (that's a laugh) will be placating Iran and those leaders will be shaking Obama's right hand all the time sticking a nuc down his pants with the left, and he won't see a thing coming. Cum by ya everyone.
Have you heard that Hillary Clinton, Sec of State told Mexico that it is the gun owners in American that's causing the proliferation of assault weapons in Mexico. I think she also put drug trafficking in there as well which is, also, due to gun owners in America. I'm sure the Mexicans were shaking their heads wondering why she was picked as Sec of State. She is an idiot.
But that is just my opinion.

Whatever they are doing I feel better about what is going on right now than I have felt for the entire 8 years of terror America and the World lived with while Dumb Ya was in office.. Who voted for who will never be known. Duh I missed the vote! Maybe we can get them to vote to put Dumb Ya and Cheeneey and thier crew in Prison for MURDER, and all thier other crimes.

you feel better about whats going on now???? i mean, i sure as hell didn't like bush one bit, but i feel like it's getting worse. and really, it has nothing to do with who is in office anymore: i think it's getting blatently obvious that there are strings being pulled by someone beyond our reach.
