If Prejudice beats Reason

The Supreme Court of the state of California has decided for the constitutionality of the proposition 8, the referendum that made gay marriage illegal. Everything started after the initiative of the municipality of San Francisco in 2004, which had recognized marriages, almost immediatly invalidated by state courts. The California Supreme Court, however, ruled in May 2008 that the Constitution of California provided the right to marry, even for same-sex couples.
