There is no such thing as a coincidence.
First “w”, Brownie and company stood by as the poor, Black, non-GOPer, non-voting residents of New Orleans were ravaged by the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Now, Perry sits by as the $27B dollar shortfall threatens to do the same to Texas Red’s poor, Mexican, non-GOPer, non-voting residents.
It is the perfect storm and opportunity for GOPers. For GOPers it is a “head’s I win, tails you lose” moment.
Any cuts to balance the budget of Texas Red will be made to programs, policies and or processes that help the “tired, …poor, …huddled masses yearning to breathe free”, you know like it says on the Statue of Liberty.
