So - they're moving to GEorgia so they can abuse out own citizens.
Georgia - one of only four "right to work" states that pays less than minimum wage - that's right LESS than the $7.25 federally mandated minimum wage. Georgia workers get $5.15 per hour, when working at a company with more than 6 employees.
Are we the newest 3RD WORLD NATION? Who can survive on $5.15 per hour? Thats $41.22 per DAY... $288.40 per WEEK... $1240 per MONTH... $14,881.40 per YEAR.
How can anyone live on that wage, let alone a family. This is without taxes taken out... for medicare, social security, etc. Our country is increasingly becoming India... which has a few at the top and millions on the bottom.
Our legislators continue to try to build a large force of coolies so they can have a better bottom line for their cronies. Just when our president wants to pay the corporations to bring their workers home - Republican governors are increasingly trying to make their states "right to work" states. That simply means the right to work with no unions to protect you. Take what you're offered or the job will go to somebody else. In Georgia - the right to work is for $5.15 per hour.
Caterpillar - I hope you do the right thing and pay your 1400 workers a livable wage. - 3 months ago
