How many individuals does it take to screw an entire nation?

Apparently less than 100, according to Cenk Uygur last night on The Young Turks.
Did you ever think that this could happen here in the United States? That merely 100 individuals could determine the results of our political elections?
A recent report found that 71% of all the millions given to Super PACs come from donors giving more than $500,000 each! Moreover, two-thirds (that is, 67%) of all those millions given to Super PACs come from less than one hundred (100) donors!
That means that 100 donors buy our elections. Why? Over the last decade, Open Secrets has compiled statistics showing that 93% of those elected to Congress spent more money on their campaigns than their opponents: in other words, they raised more money and bought public opinion.
And we know how negative ads and short clips can distort issues and muddle the NASCAR mentality of the average, “Joe Six-Pack” voter: it doesn’t take a Sarah Palin to figure that one out.
Our democracy is long gone. We have had the makings of a plutocracy for the past thirty years. Do you think that explains why the top 1%’s wealth has increased by 400% over the past thirty years? Do you think that is why our middle class is on the ropes and about to become history?
The question that plagues me is, how long will the working classes put up with this tyranny, this rule by an aristocracy? What will it take for the masses to demand immediate change? Are we all merely waiting for a Messiah to deliver us from this oppression? Haven’t we learned anything about Messiahs over the past 2,000 years? They never show up in this world!
It’s time to get off your asses and support the Occupy Wall Street movement, get in the face of every crooked politician (are there any unbought politicians?), and demand change.
Are you waiting to lose your job, home, retirement benefits before you act?

I am an eclectic person, and like a little spice in my food, so what do i think of Al Jazeera coming in-wonderful it will spice up the way American journalism does Business!

Those 100 people only buy the election if the rest of us buy their lies.
Here is the way we defeat them:
Step 1) Get registered to vote
Step 2) Go vote
Step 3) Get your friends to do the same thing. - 11 months ago
