The Boeing B-50 Superfortress is the Heaviest Model Aircraft (VIDEO)

Tony Nijhuis’s Boeing B-50 Superfortress is a radio-controlled model aircraft which has been licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority. It is a model of the U.S. 1950s Boeing B-50 which took nearly two years to build.

The Boeing B-50 Superfortress aircraft model is made from balsa wood, plywood and uses four electric motors powered by 96 rechargeable batteries. The model also has workable bomb bay doors, pneumatic landing gear and a wingspan of 20 ft.

The only drawback of the model is that it can fly for only eight minutes. The Boeing B-50 Superfortress costs £8,000
