    • People can think whatever they want, but the timing of what she did was completely inappropriate. The day wasn't to support homosexuality, but rather to think about the hate that got a young boy murdered. She has no right to do this at such a sad time.

    • I am so sick and tired of peolpe who do not support homosexuality being labled as hate monogers, you can't speak out in this country against homosexuality with about with being bashed as a "judger" or a religious nut. I am neither, I dont hate the gays, I dont support it. I am not homophobic, I have no fear of it. I dont agree with pedophilia or beastality either ...so am I judging their chosen life style??? No wrong is wrong period and saying so should be okay. If a child or animal chose to be apart of he relationship, I still would believe its wrong. I am against People killing, hurting. or bashing anyone but I dont have jump on the bandwagon and support it.. NO i wil not. No I will never agree with NAMBLA nor shall I ever be convienced that Homosexuality is natural. Sex in its most simple form is for the purpose of procreation .. that can not happen with two men or two woman. I feel for gays and transgenders and all the in betweens ...I do believe it wasnt a choice for you, just like pedaphiles feel that it isnt a choice for them. There are a lot of peolpe with compulsions, furries, s&m, those who like to have sex with trees ...it doesnt matter. I still dont have to support it.

I agree. I am tired of gay people trying to force their issues on other people. STFU already! I WILL NOT vote in favor of gays on any issue. I really don't care if it feels natural to them. Two people of the same gender go through the motions of mating, when never once in the history of humanity have two gays been able to procreate naturally. I think that says something. Their actions are futile, and they have something wrong with them to act the way they do. They are obnoxious and sickening in their pushing and screaming. If it was right, they wouldn't have to constantly justify it and beat people over the head about accepting it. If you don't like it you can kiss my hiney. Yes, I HATE YOU! Why? Because you never STFU about it. Get over yourselves.

    • Ok that is really offensive... If she were in my school handing those horrid stickers out she would have been suspended because we actually have rule against offending people for their sexual orientations. Homosexuality is NOT a choice but homophobia is and this coming from me a straight person too.

    • yeah, that sweeping homosexuality is really scary. Like, is it contagious or something? (sarcasm) She does have a point though, homosexuality is indeed not comparable to racism. Homosexuality doesn't kill anyone, or harass anyone and try to interfere with anyone's life. That's what homophobia does.

Just let me mention that I don't hate Christians. I even have some Christian friends. And I love them. Even though they're psychotic, have an imaginary friend (which is usually a phase you get over in childhood), and have occasional cannibalist tendency (what's up with that eating Jesus' body and drinking his blood thing? It's really creepy.) But, yeah, I love them and support them and I hope that one day they will see the errors of their way and find salvation.

    • Just to clear things up, the United States was not founded around the Bible. The founders of our country, no matter what religion they may have been, came to this country to gain religious freedom, and not to impose their religious beliefs onto others. This is a very articulate and passionate young girl, and that in itself is commendable. Just remember that God loves everyone equally, and God wouldn't have made people gay if He didn't want to teach us love and acceptance of those different from us.

    • Ironically enough, the same sad school that penalized her due to "forcing her message" to others is guilty of exactley the same thing by forcing it's students to participate in it's day of recognition towards homosexuals. School is NOT the place to be used as a platform to exalt ones sexual proclivities. I feel bad that this girl got the shaft from her school and friends....for what it's worth I'd be proud to display her stickers! Fight the good fight!

since this person just made an account to comment on this article i'll just point out that the national day of silence is not a recognition of homosexuals. it is a day to recognize the silence of gays, lesbians, transgenders, bisexuals, queers, and straight allies in the face of homophobia

and it is not forced on by the school. it not an official school event, but a club even put on by the students through the gsa network

It's about people being persecuted for not fitting in with heterosexist norms. It's in memory of a teenager who was shot and killed. So you're saying schools should not take a stand against students being murdered? It is generally frowned upon if people disrupt the memory of victims of murder and other crimes. I guess wanting to "serve Jesus" should give you the get out of jail card for doing something like that?

    • It is so tiring being made to feel wrong if you don't support this FACADE called homosexuality, which I don't support. I am thankful that we as straight people have the same ability to freely express that we do not agree with the LGBT rhetoric. I'll save my "Day of Silence" for a real cause, such as honoring babies who were aborted because they weren't wanted. They are the ones who truly deserve this day since they have no voice to speak. I am proud to be straight and I know that are so many other people who are fed up with this nonsense of homosexuality and it being shoved down our throats, something that some people try to convince us is natural. It's not, no one is born that way.

yeah, totally, who would want to honour a murdered student with a day of silence? Go for all those ovaries and sperms, they're much more important than teenagers getting shot and killed (/sarcasm)
