Datura420
Here's your freedom of religion! I think this is awesome. We really needed the crud swept away after 8 years of Bush. I hope they burned sage to cleanse the area, too.

    • wait, are those real witches? like wiccans? neat.

do wiccans and neo-pagans actually take the mysticism literally though, the way fundamentalist christians do, or as symbolic expression?

    • There was also a traditional burning of sage, sweetgrass, and tobacco at dupont circle, in a very simmilar Native American practice known as smudging. In fact this is a tradition of exorcism and blessing that seems to exist in all aboriginal and pagan cultures. It is also recognized in many christian circles. I have performed such a blessing in honour of my Native American heritedge with a native elder. It was very moving. You walk in a circle to honour ancestral spirits and the brooms represent exactly what you think it does

    • Even a witch can recognize the filth and evil that the Bush administration practiced in the White House.
That's pretty bad, when your evil stench needs to be swept out or purified by a witch. More power to them.

    • neo-cons are probably howling - "SEE!? I TOLD YOU SO!"

They need to get an Exorcist as well and exorcise the whole place from the evil spirits of greed and incompetency.

    • These people have the courage I don't have. I'm still closeted for fear of peoples' reactions. I don't like confrontation and am a pacifist. I really wish more people could be proud of who they are and celebrate it. I'll keep striving.
