    • I really can't take this seriously. I have been a Jehovah's Witness and although I agree they are steeped in the occult, there are other, much more satisfying and accurate reasons for questioning their relationship to the spirit world.

      Demons and spirits simply do not exist. Someone like me can shout for Satan and His Demons to come and attack me and absolutely nothing happens. I have done this very thing in situations where demon activity was supposed to be taking place, praying brothers and sisters in panic, and have discovered that mental illness is solely responsible for the phenomenon.

      Those with mild to serous mental problems gravitate towards churches like the JWs, especially because they validate the person's own beliefs about what's happening to them. However, pharmaceutical means exist to banish the demons once and for all. JWs have only recently made accommodation for these medications within their doctrine and as a result the number of incidents has all but shrunk to zero.

      Try doing it yourself. The JWs believe you can 'invite demons in' - so give it a shot. It doesn't work because there is absolutely no spirit realm.
