This is a phone conversation recorded of my Very Richmond grandmother Catherine (pictured)- talking to "Miss Janey" a friend and lady who worked for her family for years. It was recorded in 1998, and my grandmother died in 2005. Janey is still alive today and over 100 years old. Note the easy way of talking. Today's Richmonders sound more like California dudes and dudettes, than this old genteel way of talking.
