This is very exciting and really has made me start to love Current Again!

What can I say but this whole idea of having debates has been on my mind for some time and I had proposed in the Delia vs Ihatethemall debate that we have a way of rating the debates. Unimatrix0 proposed a jury. This is a direction I had always hoped Current would take. I will look forward to how this develops and start planning to set aside time to participate. 2010 just got more exciting, too because of this, and I mean that in the non-sexual way....like Slarabee. : )

    • Wow, I never knew that Slarabee was removed...I just now found out. Crazy. I wonder why? I thought he had left because of lack of engagement or the general decline of the quality of commentary on Current.

      I noticed it a few days after it happened and sent him an email about it but he never replied to it. So I have no idea since I didn't find anything wrong with any of his comments

      It makes you wish sometimes that you get someone's contact information just in case it happens to them so you can still communicate with them after the expulsion.

      Apparently it was something he didn't want to talk about or else he would've replied like the other emails we exchanged trying to setup Skype

      Also discussing the format and ways to edit the video debates

    • Actually there was a lot more posts in this group but they were removed when slarabee was for some reason I never found out.

      But it never got off the ground before that since we couldn't get people to put in the effort of following through on any debate topics.

      That's as far as we got was some topics were suggested, like animal rights, the mind/body problem and few political ones but whenever it was attempted to move beyond that it was too much for people to handle.
