Cosmologically seen that only maps out our neighborhood. With this map you don't even find your way to the next interstate. :-)
But still it is a cool and important accomplishment. Congrats to the people from the 2MRS. Great work and a big tribute to John Huchra. His death last year was a big loss for Astronomy.

Depends on what fuel you use. If it is hydrogen, than you are lucky there are enough hydrogen clouds around.

So far we only know of maybe 4 to 54 "goldilocks" planets in our own Milky Way and those are not even on this map.
