Olney, Ill., is known as the "White Squirrel Capital of the World" and is said to have the world's largest known albino-squirrel colony. Kenton, Tenn., has about 200 albino squirrels. There are albino squirrels at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Brevard, N.C., and Marionville, Mo., have substantial populations of white (not albino) squirrels. And Western Kentucky University has a locally famous population of white squirrels.
