I like this one a lot but I think you should outline the pink in black so as to make it less painful to read, but other than that I love it :)

I don't know who would make Comic Sans a crime, is that only if aliens use it? But I like the effects you added to make the text stand out

So, I just re-uploaded another tweaked version of this VCAM with a different text again (lol). It doesn't come across too well over the compression, but it's a rounded font that is much closer (but not exact) to the style t-mobile actually uses.

Thanks argon, I appreciate your input and I'll look into that. Your critiques have been informative/specific and that's exactly what I'm looking for (in contrast to the generalized ones that just aren't helpful). Oh well, that's simply a part of working in a creative environment though. Cheers!

Well the san serif fonts like Arial and Impact are easier to read on a video. I personally use a program called TitleDeko that was bundled with my copy of Premiere for most of my text since it has a lot of good features with it. Maybe you ought to try and get it. I've also submitted a VCAM for the Sidekick if you want to check it out.

I'm glad that people seem to be digging the concept. This is my very first VCAM attempt, so I was trying to work everything out with what I already had at my disposal. On a side note, the funny thing is that the font isn't even "Times New Roman"! I'm using and old version of Premiere and it's listed as some other weird font name XD. Anyway, keep those comments/critiques coming!

good concept. Failure in execution.
Times New Roman was an unimaginative font choice.
consider a VO accompaniment.
it could probably be shorter.
Try a music choice that is more in line with the brand. - 5 years ago

Hi jventin,
Good question! You are allowed to fix and upload as many times as you want up until the deadline.
That's why I always recommend submitting early -- you'll get feedback from the community AND have time to fix it! Plus, you'll have more time to garner "Yes" votes, which surfaces your VCAM to the top of the pile during the review process.
Hope that answers your question!

Thanks for the critique Argon, and I'm glad that you liked the concept. Yeah, I was actually thinking the same thing also. The compression seems to have pixilated the text a little bit too. I will mess around with some of those options that you suggested. Anyway, modifying the text obviously isn't a big task; so a quick question goes out to "dnguyen" though.
Am I allowed to fix and upload a new version of the vid or do you only get 1 shot with the VCAM's? Just figured that I'd ask; would be good to know for future reference as well.

I like the idea, but the pink color of the text only works on the white background. It's a lot harder to read on the others, so you should consider changing it so it stands out on the rest.
I've found that a bolder font works better and a drop shadow or a contrasting border on the text helps it to be more legible.

Hey rcpro8,
Some VCAMs have to be sent to the sponsor (in this case, T-Mobile) for their review as well before we can post it online. I can't wait to see your submission! Let me know if you have any questions!
It's anyone's game at this point. There are 22 days left until the deadline... if you have already started.. then hurry up and submit so that you can start getting greenlights. For those of you who have not started, it's not too late! I mean, there are still 22 days left!
