Stephanie speaks with U.S. Marine Corps Captain Matthew Phelps who asked his partner to marry him at the White House. He proposed at the White House because it was the destination of their first date. “It’s not the first time these things have happened. It’s just the first time the general public is hearing about it,” says Phelps. Stephanie also asks about what it has been like as an active duty officer in the military after Don’t Ask Don’t Tell was repealed. He says, “My colleagues were some of the first to congratulate Ben and me.”
