It's another interesting book to view thanks to the internet and fancy museum book scanners. The full diary is online and quite easy to flick through, but you might have to stare slightly to get a few faded words.
The diary was written by a 6 year old Laura Jernegan as her family we on board a whaling ship for three year trip.
The page pictured show her complaining about her handwriting quality, which does improve.
