I have to say I agree on this. The mainstream media has been doing nothing but pushing this in our faces. I was hoping this was one place we could come where we wouldn't see it hyped up. This is exactly what keeps people uninformed and ignorant. Telling them that everything is OK and all they have to do is eat, watch football, and shop. I'm buying nothing tomorrow which is what I've done every year precisely because I am sick of the same rhetoric every year and the MSM and corporations telling me what I am going to do and when I am going to do it. To me anyone who camps outside a store the night before just to get a "bargain" on a tv is well, crazy. But I suppose that really is the national pastime of America now: not baseball or football, but consumption. Personally, I find that sad. Thanksgiving to me is actually a day of reflection and thanks and also thinking of those less fortunate. Not worrying about some sale at Walmart.

I can't shop like that. Last year people were lining up at midnight on Thanksgiving to shop at Banana Republic the next morning. Crazy,crazy,crazy
