Authorities in North Carolina said that a shopper tried to stop an alleged carjacker by hitting him with a frozen turkey.
The suspect, 30-year-old Fred Louis Ervin, had stolen money from a gas station before he ran across the street and started to beat Irene Moorman Bailey, and tried stealing her car, when other shoppers came to her rescue, including the the turkey guy.
He succeeded in stealing the car but was caught later on.
