This is good news, the University of Maryland are developing a new system for cooling engine (AC) which is much more efficient up to 175% compared to AC systems that exist today. In addition to efficient, technology that uses substances called Thermally Elastic Alloy is also more environmentally friendly so that it can reduce carbon dioxide gas up to 250 million metric tons per year. Basically, this technology will replace the existing compressor but it is more economical and environmentally friendly electric power. Unfortunately, this new technology may be realized within the next few years, only of course it is good news.
