When hatred is drilled into you through religion it is very difficult to reverse.
There was a time when so much was done to share, to give, to be as one...and the powers that be ruined it.
There is not one country in that entire region that gives equal rights to women. That tells it all. One lie follows another. Fifth century justice still is in force. Social evolution and education are scorned and considered heresy.
The hatred is deep. I am sure there are some that have managed to get an uncensored book or two. Likely they have been imprisoned for speaking out. The test of a society is how much they can see the other guy's side.
I wonder how they keep those charts out of the hands of this society that the leaders say they want to help? The same mentality that started the Third Reich is the same mentality that is behind the unwillingness to see the story here.
There are a lot of people that think of this one or that one as the "underdog." All one needs to do is see the difference between the haves and have nots on both sides. Where is the opulence and poverty living side by side? That tells the whole story. And Wisconsin Norm, you are spot on, but you do facts, they don't!
I have met very nice people in our country as well that are extremely misled as well.
Every despotic government has sought to with hold information from it's populace. Stirring up fever pitches and creating an enemy that is so horrible that it must be finished off seems to be a theme. Hang the facts.

There is a wonderful chart regarding WWII casualties on Wikipedia. Perhaps 60 million memorial copies should be created and dropped onto the middle east.

I don't condemn Madonna, even if I don't listen to her music. I know her acting career was short lived; I wonder how she fares on the polical? I never thought celebrities politically inspired the deep thinking or sound minds, but maybe they do for the naive and feeble.
