Where they at?
For some time now I have been looking for art created by African Americans in the mainstream of America and I can honestly only name a few who have become familliar to my conscious mind.I go to art galleries visit museums and read most of the art publications available and I can't seem to find very many.The ironic thing is that I see plenty of graffiti & street art but it is produced by caucasian people from the subburbs who become brand names and are promoted to the highest ranks of stardom.Doesn't anyone find this a strange phenomina in the year 2010.
