In her video, Ramos describes the strategies that Bank of America used to maximize its profitability. From charging a $15 "convenience fee" for payments over the phone to tacking on $39 late fees and $39 overlimit fees, Ramos says her bosses encouraged her to nickel-and-dime customers, drawing out every penny possible.

Credit Unions don't do this sh@t, so why do people still go to banks? I just told sh#ttyBank to take a hike and open a new account/credit at my local credit union. Its that simple, but people still don't do it.

The banks have all gone crazy with fees and penalties. One I never heard of was a penally for writing a check out before 48 hours after the deposit was made!
Congress gave them our money to bail out their mistakes so now they feel free to rob us to death. It will get worse if we don't do something to stop it. - 2 years ago

One of the real problems is the little charges they don't say anything about.
If you wanted to rip off the world, you'd get all the account numbers and take five cents from everybody regularly.
But exactly what they do! The perfect bank theft - all the time.-You just got be in banking business.

They must have fired her and she is getting her revenge. Sure all of the Banks have been stooping that low but it isnt anything new. When I was down and out back in the fifties and sixties I managed to pay with checks and when the deposits did not make it on time I had to pay $25.00 and that was in the 1950's. so over the years the fines did not graduate that much. I admit it was cruel because I was having problems as many other people have had over the years but I blame it on the government and the Federal reserve banks. Just as the recessions and depressions are caused by the Federal Reserve banks, the Government is controlled by the Federal Reserve Bank. It all goes back to about 1790 when Mayer Amschel Rothschild had Commented "Let me issue a nations money and I care not who writes the laws". And over the years the Rothschild families have controlled not only the moneys but the countries leaders as well. After all if a man can control the money, a nations leader can do nothing with out the money to run his country, so Obama just as past presidents have been under the control; of the man at the Federal Reserve. What is really bad is Obama wants to give the Federal Reserve Bank more power and that is bad for the nation. There is no difference between AIG. Lehman Bros, Goldman Sachs and the US Government, their money's are FIAT. And Tommic dont forget the slick Democrats too. As a matter of fact all Politicians are slick willies, or trickie dickies in one way or another they are there to feather their own nests and to hell with the voters who put them there.

Without any other reference its difficult to know if this is a real/honest post or a sham; however, this appears to be a most sincere video. I agree with what J_Jammer said. I think she's got balls [proverbial] to post that (mentioning the company and her boss's/hirer's name, eh). This was a good post, KSirys.

I'm sorry but didn't Skank of America receive a "ton-o-money" from "I got your back" Obama and friends.
And isn't the CEO going to retire at year end with millions of "bonus bucks" and will probably end up being offered some cushy consulting position at the Treasury department or Federal Reserve, so he can share some of his infinite wisdom on how to screw over the rest of the people in this country NOT currently Skank of America customers.
Hell, you could get a better deal from a loan shark on the street.
The sad thing is I am tired of bitching about it and would love to do something about it. But America is no longer a country where change can occur unless it fills the pockets of those "hardworking Senators and Congressmen" in DC. If you figure that part out first, then you might be able to change a lot of things in this country.

It would be good to create a graph of action - where the evil is carefully designed out. It would be a constitutional "patch" that would null-out the ability for all these rip-off types to function. They really are a stain - and parasites on everyone's life, of course.

I've never had a credit card, stopped doing buisiness with banks last year, (switched to a not for profit credit union) and don't write checks. (money orders for everything) I would suggest everyone do this.

I got hit with that $39 late fee one time when my bank was bought out by a rival bank. Having never had this happen to my bank, I just assumed that everything would transfer over and continued to pay my bills, including my BOA credit card bill as well as I could, having lost my job a couple of months before that. What I didn't know at the time, and apparently missed in the mail, was that my routing number changed. This caused my BOA payment to be invalid and therefore late. When I got the $39 charge on my bill the next month, I explained my situation and that this bank buy out thing had never happened to me before and that it would be difficult for me to pay the extra $39 on the bill having recently lost my job. I said that if there was any way to waive this fee this first time, I would really appreciate it. I was transfered to another "customer service representative" who listened to my story, after which there was a short pause and then they just gave me the same scripted line about my payment being late and that I would need to pay a $39 late fee. I would have been happy with a "I'm sorry sir but those are the rules, there is no way for me to cancel this fee" but they acted like they weren't even listening to me. To just babel out the EXACT same scripted line really made me see that they don't give a damn about their customers. I'm still working at paying off my credit debt, but once I do, I will never be doing business with BOA again. They lost total respect from me that day.
"Bank of America" is really a misnomer in my house. We refer to them by the name "Bank of______ (not America, but another word that starts with the letter "a" that I prefer not to say on Current).

Jackie, You get my recommendation too. I want people that care about people working with me. I want people that want to fix things rather than tearm them apart. My mother always said the bad guys will get theirs in the end. Time is running out for Bank of America.

She is a strong willed person and determined to do the right thing. I use Google Voice's blacklist to keep people from numbers I do not like from contacting me. I was a Bill Collector at one time. I couldn't do that job right. Didn't last long. And because of the interest rates I have now I've stopped paying on two cards.

My little Skank of America story:
My Stepdaughter uses that horrible bank. She went in to get money and came out with an envelope. I do not trust my own bank so I always count. She is young so I asked her if she counted the money she withdrew. She said "no" so I counted it for her. It was $20 short. She had already left the bank. We went back into the bank and I thought that someone would have to check the teller's drawer to check if she was short. The teller did not even flinch about the money, opened the drawer and gave her the $20. This upset me. When I worked at Burger King when I was a teenager, the manager would check my drawer if someone accused me of short changing them. This would be of course because I hadn't been purposefully short changing people all day. This happened again at least two times with different tellers. I suggest that everyone count their withdrawals from Skank of America, especially in Staten Island, NY. I was going to report it, but after seeing this, I think they already know about it and like it that way.

I can vouch for her and BofA's so called customer service department first hand - to say nothing of the fact that they are also Countrywide Home Loans who incorporate the same methods. The worst part is the absolutely disgustingly hypocritical ads on TV with actors talking about how they listen to and help so many customers that are having problem in today's economy. Even with the bailout they aren't giving out loans and they're collecting a record amount on debit card overdrafts. I'm predicting they will continue to do so right up until the July deadline when they have to either decline a debit charge or notify the customer there are insufficient funds to cover the full charge before letting it go through.

People can thank all of their republican congressmen and Senators for the de-regulation of the banking industries. These types of fees and exhorbitant intrest rates were only allowed after the republicans pushed for and passed banking de-regulation. Screw the poor for every nickel and when you owe a million re-write the loan. The banking industry is one that no one should use major banks at all, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase instead opt for local credit unions and local banks. If you bank with the big boys all you do throw feed in the trough. Any person who thinks the GOP works on behalf of everyday Americans, I have a bridge to sell you it connects manhatten and brooklyn.
