I remember when the Book-Cadillac Hotel was in ruins- elegant decay. Now, it's been restored to its former grandeur. So there's still hope. I thinks it's grand you can be a homeowner for under 10k. But ihatethemall was right- you'd have to live in Detroit. (I knew there was a catch there somewhere.)

wanna buy a cheap house. Look on ebay under realestate in MI. many homes there are going for under 10 grand plus back taxes. Most cases its 2 years worth of back taxes. Only problem is you'd have to live in Detroit.

I hear ya man. I never had to worry about where I lived and a job. I am a long haul trucker. I could live anyplace in the US and not have to worry about that. 99.9% of folks that dont have going for them though.
Damn shame really. I liked going to Detroit. I laways wanted to go their in the winter and my broker couldnt understand why until I told him I like to go to the Red Wings games.
