On the bus today I heard someone shout -- "Bitch, where's my money?" -- into a cell phone. We were all on the way to the mall ... asking the same question.
I fought the urge to call for one big group hug.
Should we be spending on things we don't really need right now?
Or ... enjoy this cup of reality: "Happy holidays. Now don't go out and buy some presents at the mall," suggests Delan McCullaugh (CBS News).
"This is, of course, exactly the opposite of what Washington officialdom wants you to do," adds McCullaugh. Pointing to -- Bush's more recent suggestion -- "I encourage you all to go shopping more."
