Elizabeth Hasselbeck now supporting Obama on The View

Executive Producer Barbara Walters asked Hasselbeck, who campaigned with John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin, how she felt after seeing McCain/Palin go down to defeat on election night.
Hasselbeck said her daughter Grace, 3, had asked her who won and who lost the election. "No one lost," Hasselbeck said she told her child. "Seriously, today is a victory for this country."
Hasselbeck said the massive voter turnout and the excitement of the presidential contest inspired her. "I will get in a long line of supporters … for this president," she said.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is an ungrounded female with a terribly inappropriate mouth whose mother obviously let her believe "spouting off" with a head full of half baked notions was acceptable 'adult' behavior.
I trust she is as committed to Obama now as she was to mcSame ol' shit himself. But, it's worth noting she lacks the foundation to make real commitments - or even to have meaningful ideas - for the most part at this stage of her development.
Hasselbeck like so many females seek the strong man, in this case it's Obama. Sad thing is, strong men and the person in the right don't (and haven't) always won out.
Had mcShame been elected by hook and crook Hasselbeck would have STUPIDLY felt her half baked notions of reality and life, her total acceptance of mcSame and palin's lying were perfectly acceptable and validated - as she was clearly a mouth piece "'going down on' mcLame's shaft of lies" to put it crudely.
Obama's win and character will bring more change to this country (and the world) than specific policy changes. The leader sets the standards for acceptable conduct and decency for everyone else to follow - the masses that is.
Hasselbeck's attraction to the Rip-us-off-iican party is the result of her own dysfunctional upbringing which taught her to deceive herself rather than embrace herself. Her mother dominated her family undermining her fathers necessary and appropriate role - leaving Elisabeth unconsciously needing and wanting a strong male to ground her - so much for her marriage and emasculated (weak) husband. Trouble is, she had no idea what that was - mistaking money as the appearance of a successful life, arrogance, the good ol' boys network and posturing for the real deal.
Not having been validated and cherished as a child she didn't trust her own instincts telling her mcBush and gang of liars had her naked and bent over the couch exploiting her naivety, lack of self-awareness and knowledge for personal gain - as they have done to all us Americans and susceptible peoples all around the world.
And don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting we throw Elisabeth to the lions.

I hate to be a Negative Nelly, but isn't it a quality of the conservatives to support the President no matter who he is or what he says? They respect whoever is in power and if you don't agree, then you're unpatriotic.

When someone watches the WORLD SERIES...or THE WORLD CUP..whatever it is that is more popular for you....and their team loses and they state that the other team played a good game. They are good players.
Does that mean that they have all the sudden jumped ship and no longer the fans of their team?
No.

What the hell is she going to say after that BLOW OUT?
And! And especially after the latests Palin revelations about how god awful stupid that woman is!
Hasselbeck is on the losing side of history.
She is like one of those people who only burned their Nazis uniforms once they saw the Allies marching into Berlin and knew the war was over.
"Oh! Hey! America! Soooo glad you Americans are here. I hate that Hitler guy too. Praise America!"
She's a phony.

You're no better.
Belittling someone for their opinion. And it wasn't a blow out via popular vote. Remember how important that is to those like you? Very. So important that it was all one could talk about with the 2004 election. However now that the tables have turned and the popular vote was closer than one expected it's time to ignore that and focus on what people deemed unworthy in 2004: the electoral college. That's because it's in your favor now.

She is trying to salvage her career. She went "all in" like a high stakes poker player for McCain and tried to "warn" America about what an evil terrorist Barack was and now that old man McCain got his ass BEAT along with all other Republicans (how many seats did they lose?) she is trying to claim that she can respect barack. 24hrs prior to that statement she called him an evil, terrorist sympathizer....but now she wants us to believe she can be "fair" and "supportive" of the man?
Doesnt matter anyway...cuz we WON!
We are the champions, my friends!

J Jammer - Hasselbeck IS NOT BEING FAIR! She's hoping to save her arse. It's motivated out of self-preservation because she fears her motivations, her compassion, her level of viciousness might be used against on her, and rightfully so. Her little rational mind reasons that if she now claims alliance she'll be spared from the lions.
She lacks the ability to be fair as she has demonstrated in her rhetoric over and over again attempting to mislead people with scare tactics, deception and misinformation AGAINST and UNFAIRLY Obama.
Fair? Not a chance. Read my post below and you'll understand, I hope.

All this stupid, mindless, ego-driven drone is doing is propping up her own shallow image and trying desperately to save her appeal in her chosen field of self-appreciation.
This ignorant move is not about politics or patriotism.. it is about her own celebrity and ego.

She doesn't regret who she supported prior to the Elect. She is being "American" by stating she will support Obama because he is the President.
THIS is something people couldn't do with Bush and in that respect she is doing far more than those who complain about Bush.
I like her from Survivor and still do because she's not a pushy, condescending, double standard Joy.

I don't think that she's nesassarily "entertaining", but defend her I must {I guess...}.
I don't believe that she's switching party affiliation because of Obama, I think she's just backing her President. Like we all should do. No matter what.
And I think she's not blind; She recognises the positive effect he has on the American people {or a majority of them, at least.} and accepts that as a good thing.
And {last point} she's definitely not a [enter bad words here] because for the last time, Republicans aren't evil and there's corruption on both sides, not reflecting the party, but the people themselves. The people that WE elect.

Who cares, I can't stand her boring ass anyways!
Pretty ironic considering she harped on the Rev. Jeremiah Wright issue til she was blue in the face.
She is ABC's attempt to have their younger audience represented but I've met people in nursing homes that act younger than she does.
She talks about her kid more than Kathy Lee Gifford spoke about Cody!

Just proof how liberals have such tunnelvision, there were never attempts from the far left to stand behind the president regardless of the disagreements with his politics. At least conservatives see the other sides president elect as their president elect as well and out of a sense of TRUE patriotism we're wishing the best FOR Obama. He's about to be the most powerful leader in the free world and even we conservatives wish him the best and hope that he does good for the country.

Liberal_Extinction if you are referring to the "Democrats" and a majority of the country not standing behind president Bush during his presidency then yeah you are right. No one stood behind him because he is/was an idiot and made some very, very bad choices and lied and murdered to accomplish his goals.
You laid out the Republican party moto right there: Blindly follow your leader no matter how wrong he is. No matter how bad, no matter what crimes are committed and how many people are murdered. Yeah... thats patriotism... I don't think you even know what patriotism is, yet you sling the word around like it's some sort of battle flag.
A quote by Samuel Johnson: "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."
That about sums it up...
It's funny that you claim conservatives will support Obama... but we all know that is not true. Look at what happened to Clinton. The conservatives pressured to have him impeached because the guy got a blowjob. Yet your best friend forever Bush murders thousands of people in a war created and started over lies and deceit and you stand by him. Yeah... sure you'll support Obama, until he turns his back and you get the opportunity to strike.
vegas_gal33: No... she is not intelligent. Not in the least. She spouts off about things that she has no idea about. She has never done or said anything of value and she never will.
All the woman is trying to do is salvage her reputation and her career what little there was to begin with. She is only on the show because she disagrees with everything anyone with half a brain knows is true.
If I bashed McCain on here everyday for the last year and he won and suddenly I decide to support him I don't think I would get any leniency either. Nor would I expect it...
So, no... the flip-flopper gets no respect from me. Fuck her...

II find the comment made by Ayahuasca2012 to be crude and low class. I for one do not wish to read someone as illiterate as the brainless moron who is not educated enough to use the proper English vocabulary to tear down their victims. I DO NOT CARE to read or hear cursing and suspect others do not also. This individual is obviously ghetto and is not willing to rise above petty differences. I say GET A LIFE DOG!!! I say the people of this great nation need to be smart enough to join forces and support this president NO MATTER HOW THEY VOTED. A country divided cannot stand strong and divisions at this point in the game is pure ignorance.
