Every Republican in the House of Representatives and all but three in the Senate voted against the Stimulus package in 2009. They have trashed the Stimulus repeatedly in the press.
Of the 178 Republicans in the House and the 40 in the Senate, (these numbers are reflective of the Congressional makeup when the Stimulus was passed,) at least 114 have taken credit for the money that the Stimulus has provided in their districts, often handing out giant checks that represent Stimulus money.
Vote against it + Publicly trash it + Take credit for its benefits = Hypocrisy
