On the Nov. 2 ballot, Oklahoma voters will be deciding on one of the largest and most influential pieces of legislation that, I believe, has ever came up for a public vote. Proponents say that the bill could be afforded by cutting funding for special interests and pork barrel spending (billions of dollars, they say!). Opponents say there is basically not enough or no such thing to draw off of (actually, the nosq744 site doesn't seem to mention it at all), and all state agencies will suffer; medical, college funding, as well as "8 or 9 Prisons closed and 8,400 criminals released".
What say you, Current? If Oklahoma was your state, would you vote yes or no? And is this legislation worth fighting for, if so? Personally, it irks me a little that there is no allocation for the funding, but... I'm hopeful.
