Responsibility
We may never know the motivations of the man who shot Congresswoman Giffords, but here are some things we do know:
1. We know there are extremest 'nuts' on both sides of the political spectrum.
2. We know people are influenced by political and media figures.
3. We know that figures such as Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck have used violent imagery and rhetoric.
Like it or not, public figures have a responsibility to watch their words and actions, and not chose those that can easily be seen to advocate violence. If you promote violence, you will get violence. Willful ignorance is not an excuse!
