Stephanie Meyer, as a Mormon, donates 10% of her income to the Mormon church. The Mormon church uses money from its followers to support their causes- which include anti-gay acts such as funding the "Yes on 8" campaign.
Take in it what sense thou wilt.

I don't think Twilight itself is anti-gay. Whether the author herself is remains to be seen. If she is, then that sucks and makes me rethink how I feel about her. But she hasn't publicly denounced homosexuality, so I can't fault her what her church thinks.

where did that come from? i read the article posted and it refers to Meyer donating her share to her Church, like Cruise and Travolta donate to what they believe. but this is personal and has nothing to do with the movie which is obviously not anti-gay. but privately...the actors, who knows? when Pattinson was on Letterman, Dave commented on 'all the girls outside and how thousands show up wherever he goes'...Pattinson corrected him adding that he had "a lot of guy fans too."

Stephenie Meyer may or may not be a "go away gayer",...depending on how responsible you hold her for the Mormon tribes actions. The genre gender preffer of Twilight is writ large in glitter and nightclub pallor.
