Oh, and to the person making the comment about noticing tins who are different, that is direct genetics, bu tthat doesn't mean so much. CCertian genes are "activated" byu the body, while others are not. I have two brothers who are identical twins, and one is at shoulder height of the other!

Dean Hamer is bugging.. You are lunching... how dare you use Corretta Scott King and flipped this. you are dead wrong. This is a terrible piece of work.. in fact it's trash. Wison is right... IT AIN"T NATURAL. The homosexual community is trying everything they go to turn a sinful lifestyle into a way of life. There is man and woman.... and a man should be with a woman.. and a woman should be with a man. And who in the world is that drag in this piece... SHEM is a mess. THAT"S RIGHT I SAID.. This is a great video, thank you so much for including the trans/drag performer. It is so important that our community not sit around trying to conform, we need to be proud of our diversity. And that is why the Human Rights Campaign does not speak for me.

Are there torpedoes waiting in hell with names of the many straight men who love anal?
Homophobes are quick to mention the old testament, but if homosexuality is so immoral, why did Jesus Christ on whom Christianity is based not make any mention of it -- not one instance? Jesus was about love, he wasn't into what consenting adults practiced in their bedrooms. Mr Preacherman obviously gets an erotic thrill by talking about this.
What ain't natural is hatred and I'm sorry to break it to you Mr Preacherman, but you ain't Jesus either! - 6 years ago

Just learned this is going on air, so thanks again to everybody for their support. Just for the record, I did not selectively edit Wilson's comments. I took his exact words, spoken in his own voice, from a recording that was made of the sermon. Then I simply interspersed them with comments from critics. You can hear the excerpt at link

If anybody and that's everyone should be created as equal, God didn't put us on this earth to hate each other now I know it's wrong to be gay an it ain't right but God also gave us the right to be who we are inside. Some people in this world today judge other people by the cover of their book, but to not get to know a person before you talk about them is wrong. BEING GAY IS WRONG BUT i THINK IT'S WRONG TO TALK ABOUT IT, OK SO SOME PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD TODAY CAN'T LEAVE WITH A GAY COUPLE IN THEIR COMMUNITY SO WHAT YOU CAN'T JUST KICK OUT OF THAT NEIGHBOR hood YOU GOT TO ACCEPT THEM FOR WHO THEY ARE INSIDE AND LiVE WITH i MEAN GOD WANTS us all to get along and I think thats what we should do instead of worrying about how people are gay or if you should allow this to go on well I think we should let each other leave in peace if God didn't want gay people on this earth he would of never let it happen.

the video is heavily biased. Also, the full sermon has been chopped up so that you only hear bits and pieces. of course, i agree that its not right to bash anyone in a condescending manner, which from the video clip i do not see happening. I just see him saying how its unatural.
I think the preacher has valid points. I don't believe homosexuality is genetic, i believe its a lifestyle choice.
I have seen identical twins, where one guy was gay and the other was straight..explain that. Also, i've never seen a gay baby or child walking around sashaying or talking with a lisp because they were gay from the moment they came out of the womb. this is cultural and a lifestyle choice.
and yes when two women or two men have sex, obviously theres no reproduction, so obviously its NOT what "mother nature intended".
however, its not right to BASH anyone. So if he did in his sermon, he is wrong for that. but if i rewind and listen closely, i cant hear any of that. can you? please quote

As a lesbian, it does SORT of offend me but I know he seriously doesn't know the truth but the scary and yet sad part is that there are probably young and impressionable children and teens in his congregation that will probably keep that kind of bigotry, hatred, and homophobia alive. One good question for him is: how does he know what gays and lesbians do in bed? He describes it so graphically and you wouldd think he had sex with a guy before.

As a Christian, we can agree that homosexuality is wrong and that it "ain't natural" to coin a phrase, but what Christians do with that is wide and varied amongst the body of believers. The reverend's graphic language is just that, the reverend's language. Trying to make the homosexual feel good about their choice is not probably the way to go and despite attempts to cover their rationalization, there is still no "gay" gene that has been identified. The reverand accurately points out that himself as well as every other listener has some flaw of some kind. This doesn't make the flaw ok, it just levels the playing field that no one is able to claim the high ground of sinless in this debate. At the same time, I wish the homosexual community would avoid the tendancy to make the messenger the issue and deal with the actual "normalcy" of homosexuality. What is normal about it? Can homosexuals honestly deny the number of folks that suffered sexual abuse at ages when innocense should of been the norm? I don't like this film because it attempts to make the Christian perspective some kind of vile hatred that is spewed from the pulpit. Likewise, it attempts to provide a righteous flavor to the homosexual that in no way exposes their lifestyle or the root causes of it. It may be old and somewhat cliche, but I've always been taught to "Love the sinner, and hate the sin". Until we can find some truth and honesty in dealing with this issue, ignorance will continue to enflame the debate and no one will be the wiser.

I would like to personally thank everybody who watched and supported this film. I wasn't sure how people would react to the raw and hateful language, but the reaction has been really encouraging. I especially appreciate the negative comments because they make it clear why it's important to expose bigotry wherever it occurs.

To those who refer to a "bible" to support their bigotry, who say that the words of the likes of Rev. Willie Wilson should be ignored, or worse, who say that it's time to come up with new topics, I can only refer to the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., who said: "One day we shall win freedom, but not only for ourselves. We shall so appeal to your heart and conscience that we shall win you in the process, and our victory will be a double victory." Keep doin' it 'til it's done Dean.

I understand where you're coming from on this video, but you made one clear point at the begnning in the text, that he gave this sermon at "his church." It's his church, and he has a freedom to preach whatever he wants there. I would say that the best way to defeat someone like the good reverend would be to ignore him. Making a big deal out of it only draws even more attention to what he is saying. Think about how many more people have heard his sermon now that it has been publicized so much.

He sounds hateful and does not represent the Bible, Gods speaks in Love to us even when we need to be corrected, even though he is right on the idea that " it ain" natural".
Romans 1:26-27 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

Wow Dean! Big green-light from me....That Baptist Preacher was frightening, and really offensive. I agree that homo-phobia is no different than any other predjudice, but sadly I've heard sermons just as disturbing in a Catholic Church.
Obviously you know that January was Black History Month...My son is in Pre-K, in our Public School System, and they learned so much about Martin Luther, whom I don't think would be very proud of what that nasty Preach was screaming about.
Anyway, my 4 year old little boy came home, and said, "Mommy...we learned about Martin Luther King Jr., and he had a really great dream". "His dream was that everybody should just get along and stop hating eachother, no matter what color you are or what you look like"...."And he didn't want people to scream nasty things and carry around those signs, either!"
So, there ya go...out of the mouth of my baby. I was very proud of him for getting the message, and thrilled with his teacher for instilling that in him at 4 years old. - 6 years ago
